Refund Policy

Effective August 21, 2026 · Last updated August 21, 2026

Quick summary Subscriptions: full refund within 30 days, no questions. One-time reports: refund within 7 days if the file has not been forwarded externally. All refunds are processed through Paddle, the merchant of record, back to the original payment method within 5-7 business days. Email [email protected] to request one.

One-time intelligence reports

Each one-time report (Drenner Group, State of Austin Land Use quarterly, DB-90 at Two Years, future firm reports) is sold under a single-buyer license. The product is a downloadable PDF (and, where bundled, an Excel appendix) delivered by email after purchase.

Refund window: 7 days from the time the report was delivered to you.

Conditions:

To request a refund: email [email protected] within 7 days of receipt. State the order ID and a brief reason. We do not require detailed justification — the goal is to make wrong-fit purchases costless to walk away from.

Subscription tiers (Founder's Annual Pro, Diligence, Enterprise)

All subscriptions carry a 30-day money-back guarantee from the date of activation.

Within 30 days: full refund, no questions. Email [email protected] stating the subscription ID and "request refund." The refund is processed through Paddle within 1-2 business days; access is removed at the same time.

After 30 days: the annual charge is non-refundable, but you can cancel renewal at any time from the billing portal linked in your Paddle receipt email — or write to us and we will cancel it for you the same day. The cancellation prevents the next annual charge while leaving current-cycle access in place through the renewal date.

Mid-cycle downgrade: the change takes effect at the next renewal at the new tier's price. The current cycle continues at the higher tier.

Mid-cycle upgrade: the new tier activates immediately. A pro-rated charge covers the remainder of the current cycle at the new tier.

Firm plans and 30-day working trials

A firm plan is five seats, billed annually, and carries the same 30-day money-back guarantee from the date of activation as every other subscription.

A 30-day working trial is not a charge and cannot become one. It carries no payment method, takes no card details, and never auto-converts. If the firm does nothing, the trial ends on its stated end date and access reverts to the free weekly brief — there is nothing to cancel and nothing to refund. Converting to the firm plan is an explicit purchase, and only that purchase creates a charge, with the 30-day guarantee running from it.

The launch-week assurance

The first 30 days of each new tier (Pro launched June 25, 2026; the Diligence tier opens when the inference API is production-ready) carry an explicit no-questions guarantee. If the product is not earning its keep in the first month, the refund is granted and the relationship is preserved — paid subscribers who refund inside 30 days continue to receive the free weekly brief.

Disputes

If a refund request is not resolved by direct email within 5 business days, the buyer may raise it with Paddle, the merchant of record, using the support link on their receipt. ADW is committed to honoring legitimate refund requests within the stated windows; the Paddle escalation exists as a backstop, not as the first step.
